Vocal instruction includes pitch, breath control, and proper
singing habits, studio microphone techniques, performance/stage
microphone techniques, plus using effects properly and techniques
for lyric memorization. Anatomy and physiology is also taught
so that you might understand your voice as a instrument.
Robin's singing experience spans the last 25 years including
studying voice as an instrument with Flora Dane of the "Dane
School of Music." Since 1986, Robin has been singing
lead and back up vocals for dozens of albums and commercial
recording sessions. Robin has recorded at several studios
in South Florida area, including Sound Picture Recording.
Robin has been teaching voice since 1994 and has had the
pleasure of seeing many of her students be successful in
their music careers.
Some of Robin's album credits include Jim Head and the Head
Liners, The Walter Polleydoor project and many others. Robin
has also sung with and led several groups in South Florida,
such as the jazz and standards group Air Swing, reggae/calypso
group Island Thyme, Jeffery B & Company, Reggae group
Steel and Ivory, and the Christian rock band Fortress.
In addition to being a prolific song writer, Robin has studied
and played guitar for the past 28 years, with teachers such
as Wesley B Wright from Miami Sound Machine, Michael Corbin
formerly with Front Runner, and several other accomplished
guitar instructors.
